Stone and Grout Sealers
Indoor/Outdoor Sealers
All sealers are not created equal! Indoor clear grout sealers are not typically exposed to high UV rays like outdoor surfaces are. So should you use different sealers for these two scenarios? Of course you should! Outdoors
sealers have UV protectors built in to protect your stone from the harsh rays of the sun. There are even sealers better suited for wet environments such as your shower stall. SacSurfacePro offers a variety of penetrating or impregnating sealers that will protect your granite, marble, travertine, limestone, slate, and grout surfaces from staining and will make the maintenance much easier! Our penetrating sealers will not change the appearance of the surface and will allow the stone to “breathe” unlike topical sealers. Enhancers
Enhancers are designed to bring out the natural colors present in your natural stone such as granite, marble, travertine, limestone, and slate. So when should you use an enhancer? If you like the color of your stone when wet, consider this a great option for you. The best way to test is to take a wet sponge and wipe across an area of the stone with a lot of color. Water will evaporate over time returning the stone back to the original look. If your stone is pretty neutral in color, enhancers will not change the appearance. Our enhancers will bring out the natural colors but will NOT give the stone a “wet” look. Wet look sealers are topical seals which trap moisture and can present a multitude of problems if there is any moisture coming up underneath the stone. SacSurfacePro does not recommend “wet sealers for ANY natural stone floors!
